Injectable mucolytic, based on bromhexine hydrochloride, indicated for cattle, horses, swine, dogs and cats in the treatment of respiratory conditions with accumulation of secretions and in purulent metritis.
Features
Bromhexine is a so-called mucolytic expectorant because it produces a decrease in the viscosity of pulmonary secretions. Bromhexine also alters the permeability of the alveolar-capillary barrier, contributing to increased concentrations of immunoglobulins and certain antibiotics in lung secretions. Such effects, together with the bronchodilator action, favor expectoration and the improvement of cough with pulmonary origin. Aliv V is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions in which there is an accumulation of secretions and for the treatment of purulent metritis, and it can be associated with antimicrobials.

Each 100 mL contains:
Bromhexine hydrochloride 300.0 mg
Vehicle q.s.p. 100.0 ml
Properties:
It is a mucolytic expectorant so called because it produces a decrease in the viscosity of pulmonary secretions.
Bromexia also alters the permeability of the alveolar-capillary barrier, contributing to increased concentrations of immunoglobulins and certain antibiotics in lung secretions.
Such effects, together with the bronchodilator action, favor expectoration and the improvement of cough with pulmonary origin.
Indications: Horses, Cattle, Swine, Dogs and Cats.
· Supporting in the treatment of bronchitis and acute and chronic bronchopneumonia of all animal species.
· Flu in piglets and calves, pneumonia, bacteria in dogs.
· Coadjuvant in vial pneumonic processes and pulmonary verminosis
· In purulent metritis of cows, mares and sows, in combination with antibiotics.
Route and form of administration:
Intramuscular, subcutaneous or intravenous injection.
Average Dose:
0.15 to 0.3 mg of bromhexine/kg of body weight/day, as follows:
Adult horses and cattle 25 to 30 ml
Calves and Foals 8 to 15 ml
Adult swine 5 s 15 ml
Weaned piglets 5 to 8 ml
2 to 3 ml mites
Dogs 1 to 5ml
Cats 1 to 2 ml
Intrauterine:
Dilute 50 ml of the product in 50 ml of distilled water and carry out the intrauterine infusion in cows, mares and sows.
Duration of treatment:
Maintain treatment until symptoms remission, ranging from 3 to 5 days.
Contraindications: Pulmonary EDEMA.
Limitation of use:
In the case of verminotic bronchitis, the product should be administered only 3 days after starting the anthelmintic treatment.
Precautions:
In the case of primary and/or secondary infections, it is up to the Veterinarian to associate the product with antimicrobials or gamma globulins.
Side effects:
Bromexia can cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances and increase the serum transaminase level.
Grace period:
Meat: Suspend the treatment 10 days before the treated animals are brought to slaughter for human consumption.
Milk: Discard the milk produced within 71 hours after the last administration of the product.
Presentation: amber glass vials, containing 50 ml.
