Indications

It is indicated for exclusive use in horses, in the adjuvant treatment of several pathological conditions, such as:

Muscular dystrophy, osteoporosis, aplastic anemia, anorexia. It favors the retention of calcium and phosphorus, contributing to greater bone development. Its use is also indicated in states of weakness after illness, surgery, orthopedic injuries (including laminitis) To improve general physical conditions and after overwork or training

How to use

It is a ready-to-use solution and should be administered via deep intramuscular injection.

Dosage

The recommended dose varies from 0.25 to 1.1 mg per kg of body weight, equivalent to the administration of 0.25 to 1.1 mL for every 50 kg of weight, regardless of the age or sex of the animal, according to the table below:

The interval between each application should be 2 or 3 weeks.

The determination of the dose and the duration of the treatment should be evaluated by the veterinarian, although in most cases, the expected response is obtained with one or two applications of the product.

Side effects

It is well tolerated by horses and, in general, does not present side or secondary effects, as long as the doses and method of use are respected.

In excessive and constant doses, androgenic or masculinizing effects may be observed (very evident in females).

Sodium and water retention (which may lead to the appearance of edema) and increased aggressiveness (making it more difficult to handle the animals). The reproductive efficiency of males and females is impaired during treatment. These effects are temporary and generally disappear when the product is discontinued.

USE LIMITATIONS

For use in horses only. Do not administer to pregnant mares. Do not use in animals intended for human consumption.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The use of EXBOLD is considered "doping" and is therefore prohibited in sports.

Boldenone undecylenate residues may be detected up to 40 days after the last application.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

Respect the asepsis standards when handling and applying the product. Do not use or store near beverages, food, medicines, household hygiene products or fire. Do not reuse the empty packaging. If the product comes into contact with ammonia-based detergents, such as soaps and nitrates, ammonia precipitation may occur.
