TRISTEZINA® is a therapeutic drug that fights Trypanosomiasis (Chair Disease) and Babesiosis (Sadness) in animals.
FORMULA
Each mL contains:
4,4-diazoaminodibenzimidine diaceturate 70 mg
Pyrazolone (antipyrine) 370 mg
Vehicle q.s.p 1 mL
PROPERTIES
TRISTEZINA® is an effective chemotherapeutic agent in the treatment of Piroplasmosis caused by Babesia spp and Trypanosomiasis caused by Trypanosoma brucei, T. vivax, T. equiperdum, T. evansi and T. congolense.
INDICATIONS
Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Goats and Swine.
DOSAGE
TRISTEZINA® is administered at a dose of 3.5mg/1Kg of body weight, that is, 1mL/20kg by deep intramuscular route when dealing with Sadness (dosing table see package insert). Changes in dosage and method of use at the discretion of the veterinarian.
NOTE
For the treatment of trypanosomiasis caused by T. brucei and theileriosis caused by Theileria parva, the dose is 6mg/kg of body weight.
