Formula
Each vial (8.6g) with powder contains
Benzathine benzylpenicillin ..................................................... .........3,000,000 IU
Benzylpenicillin procaine................................................... ...........1.5 million IU
Potassium benzylpenicillin .................................................. .......1.5 million IU
Dihydrostreptomycin base (sulfate) ............................................... ....1,250 mg
Streptomycin base (sulfate) .................................................. .............1,250 mg

Dosage and method of use
The average dose for cattle and horses is 5 ml for every 100 kg of live weight, which corresponds
at 12,000 IU of Penicillins per kg and 5 mg of Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin per kg.
For sheep, goats and pigs, use the average dose of 6 ml for 100 kg of weight, which corresponds
at 14,400 IU of Penicillins per kg and 6 mg of Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin per kg.
For dogs and cats, use 0.5 ml for 5 kg of weight, which corresponds to 24,000 IU of Penicillins per kg
and 10 mg of Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin per kg.
A second dose is recommended after 5 days of the first, even if the clinical symptoms have disappeared,
thus avoiding the persistence of subclinical infections.
The prophylactic use of the drug must be at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Administration
Suspension preparation and application route the suspension must be done at the time of application
with the entire volume of the diluent, whose ampoule is included in the vial with the powder.
Remove the metal disk from the rubber stopper.
Disinfect the rubber stopper with alcohol.
Using a syringe fitted with a needle whose gauge is not less than 0.8 mm, inject the diluent into the vial.
Remove the needle and vigorously shake the vial until the suspension is completely homogenized.
Inject a little air into the bottle and withdraw the desired volume of suspension.
Apply the injection via a deep intramuscular route, pulling the plunger before injecting the drug,
to make sure that no blood vessels were reached.
Precaution
Grace period
Meat: Observe the 30-day period after the last application of Reinforced Veterinary Pentabiotic for the
slaughter of animals whose meat is intended for human consumption and 96 to 120 hours
or 8 to 10 milkings for the consumption of fresh or industrialized milk.
Against indication
Allergy to penicillin and nephritis with functional loss greater than 75%.
adverse reaction
Allergic phenomena due to penicillins do not occur in animals with the same frequency as in humans.
However, although rare, these phenomena cannot be totally ruled out.
Ruminants and pigs may have dyspnea and restlessness.
Dogs may experience seizures, vomiting and diarrhea.
Horses have dyspnea and nervous signs.
Anaphylactic shocks due to penicillin are very rare in animals.
Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin, when combined, have their ototoxic effects reduced.
Such effects can only be seen in dogs and cats treated with high doses for long periods of time.
Anaphylactic shocks in animals due to penicillin are rare, however, the veterinarian should be aware.
conservation care
