Maxicam 2% Ouro Fino is a potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Does not leave gastric lesions, besides helping to the maximum in degenerative lesions.

Indications
Maxicam 2% is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory with selective inhibitory activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (cox-2), which confers a double therapeutic benefit, resulting in excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-exudative activity with minimal gastrolesive or ulcerogenic effects. In addition to these benefits, meloxicam also inhibits the infiltration of leukocytes into the inflamed tissue and prevents bone and cartilage destruction that occurs in the processes of degenerative inflammation of the locomotor system. Maxicam 2% is indicated for inflammatory processes in cattle, pigs and horses; such as:
Pathologies of the locomotor system and musculoskeletal diseases, such as: myositis, tendonitis, osteitis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, synovitis, myotendinous distension, trauma, lameness, navicular syndrome, laminitis and aid in fracture repair.
Eye disorders: uveitis, conjunctivitis, postoperative period.
Reproductive order disorders such as placental retention.
Metrites and mastitis.
Pre and postoperative analgesia.
Assist in the treatment of bacterial or chronic infections (pneumonia and diarrhea) and febrile conditions.
Dosage
Maxicam 2% should be administered intramuscularly or intravenously, once a day (every 24 hours), or as directed by the veterinarian.
Dosage for cattle.........2.5 mL for every 100 kg of body weight (0.5 mg meloxicam per kg of body weight)
Dosage for pigs.........2.0 mL for every 100 kg of body weight (0.4 mg meloxicam per kg of body weight)
Dosage for horses......3.0 mL for every 100 kg of body weight (0.6 mg meloxicam per kg of body weight)
Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment should be stipulated according to the animal species, severity of the condition and type of condition to be treated. Up to two consecutive applications are recommended, with an interval of 24 hours, or at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Management
