Diuzon Injectable Solution is the combination of the marked diuretic action of trichlormethiazide, with the potent anti-inflammatory action of dexamethasone.
The combination of trichlormethiazide with dexamethasone reduces the physiological edema of parturition, of the mammary gland of dairy cows, sows, goats and sheep.
Formula:
Each 100 mL contains:
Trichlormethiazide ................. 1.0 g
Dexamethasone ................ 0.05 g
Vehicle, q.s.p. ............. 100.0 mL
Dosage and How to use:
Apply 10 to 20ml, intramuscularly, according to the severity of the case, and the dose may be repeated, as directed by the veterinarian.
Normally, the response to treatment is obtained within 24 to 48 hours after starting it. If the response is not favorable within 3 days, submit the animal to a new clinical evaluation.
Changes in the dosage and method of use may be made as directed by the Veterinarian.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that the veterinarian associate an antibacterial therapy, if a bacterial infection associated with edema occurs or is pre-existing.
The general recommendations for the use of products by the intramuscular route, such as the asepsis of the material and local disinfection, must be respected.
Contraindications and side effects:
Misuse and high dosages of trichlormethiazide over a long period of time can produce electrolyte depletion.
Do not apply to animals with serious renal impairment.
Do not apply to viral infections, in the viremic stage.
Do not apply to pregnant goats and sheep.
Do not use in the last trimester of pregnancy. Coricosteroids can cause the appearance of signs of childbirth if applied in the last trimester of pregnancy or bring forward delivery if applied during the last 30 days of pregnancy.
